Uploading Your Own Tax Rates

Summary:

To explain how to upload your own tax rates.

Solution:
  1. Browse to Sales (horizontal top menu) / Tax / Import/Export Tax Rates.
  2. Click on the Export Tax Rates button to export the tax rates CSV file.
  3. Open the file in excel and add all applicable tax rates.
  4. If your state has multiple tax rates, you can add the starting tax rate to Range From and the ending zip code in the Range to field.
  5. Repeat this process for the remaining zip code ranges.
  6. Save your file as a csv.
  7.  Upload the file by clicking the browse button.
  8. Find the .csv file and choose open.
  9. Select Import Tax Rates.
  10. Save your changes.

You should first export the tax rates in your system so you have a CSV file that you can add your taxes too. This will give you the correct formatting that NRO is expecting for import. Once you have completed your tax CSV file, browse to the file and upload it.

Note: Please ensure all tax rates used are accurate for the States and/or Countries you are collecting taxes in, and you are only charging tax for States and Countries you have a physical presence in.
