Publishing a Smaller Quantity Online Than What Actually Exists

Purpose:

When this question arises, the scenario is that merchants want the publish process to reduce the Quantity Available by a specific amount. For example, when an item gets down to one in NCR Counterpoint, they want the item to not be available for purchase online. This configuration helps avoid accidentally selling an item both online and in the physical store, and consequently being unable to fill the online order once it has been imported.

This threshold isn't something configured in NCR Counterpoint. It is configured in the product's inventory through the NCR Retail Online (NRO) Admin Panel.

Solution:
  1. Select Catalog (horizontal top menu) / Manage Products.
  2. Click on the Inventory tab.
  3. Remove the check mark from the Use Config Settings check box for the Qty for Item's Status to Become Out of Stock setting and then indicate the appropriate quantity in the editable text field.
  4. Save your changes.
