NRO Connection Configuration Instructions

  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Radiant Systems\Integration Agent\Bin\NROIntegration and click on NROConnectionConfig.exe.
  2. The NRO Connection Config window appears. Enter the Website URL, User ID, and Password then select Test Connection.
    • Website URL - this is the URL for your NRO store
    • User ID - Counterpoint_IA
    • Password - use the new password created for the Counterpoint_IA user on the NRO Admin Panel
TIP: The Test Connection button is disabled until these three pieces of data are entered.

If the connection is SUCCESSFUL, this window appears.

If the connection is UNSUCCESSFUL, this window appears. Contact Support for assistance.

  3. Next, enter the Guest Customer Number.  This is the customer number used as the Template Customer under Setup / Ecommerce / Control / Customers in Counterpoint.  Note that this Customer record must contain something in the First Name, Last Name, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Country, Phone 1, and Email 1 fields (it does not have to be a valid email address, but it must be properly formatted - xxx@xxx.xxx).  This Customer record must also be marked as an Ecommerce customer, and must be published to NRO.  See http://help.ncrretailonline.com/article/publishing-your-counterpoint-customers-to-ncr-retail-online.html for information about publishing customers.
  4. Enter the Data, Product Media and Category Media Paths and select Save when complete.
    • Data Path - the location where Counterpoint expects all ecommerce import/export files to be located. For example, company DemoGolf is C:\Program Files (x86)\Radiant System\Counterpoint\CPSQL\TopLevel\DemoGolf\Activity\CPOnline. The location is dependent on where Counterpoint is installed and the name of your company.
    • Product Media Path - the location of your online-only images. The Integration Agent uses this path to look for and upload product images to NRO. You may create a default folder named ItemImagesNRO at the same level as the built-in ItemImages folder that Counterpoint uses for item images that display when ringing up an item in Counterpoint. If you choose to create the ItemImagesNRO folder, move item images you want to utilize to this folder. For example, company DemoGolf is C:\Program Files (x86)\Radiant Systems\Counterpoint\CPSQL\TopLevel\DemoGolf\Configuration\ItemImagesNRO.
    • Category Media Path - the location of your online-only categories. The Integration Agent uses this path to look for and upload category images to NRO. You may create a default folder named CategoryImagesNRO at the same level as the built-in ItemImages folder that Counterpoint uses for item images that display when ringing up an item in Counterpoint. If you choose to create the CategoryImagesNRO folder, move category images you want to utilize to this folder. For example, company DemoGolf is C:\Program Files (x86)\Radiant Systems\Counterpoint\CPSQL\TopLevel\DemoGolf\Configuration\CategoryImagesNRO.

  5. Choose Save when complete and select OK on the following screen. Last, click on the X in the right hand corner to close the NROConnectionConfig utility.

TIP:  If you receive the following error message: "There was an error saving the Companies.xml file.  Please check the log for details," you will need to run the NROConnectionConfig.exe as administrator by right-clicking the filename (in Windows Explorer) and left-clicking "Run as administrator."  This is sometimes necessary even when logged in to the machine as Administrator.

run as administrator
