Enforcing a Minimum Order Amount

 Purpose:
This article will explain how to configure NRO to require a minimum order amount.

 Solution:
  1. Select System (horizontal top menu) > Configuration.
  2. Go to the Sales section and click on the Sales tab.
  3. Expand the Minimum Order Amount panel.
  4. Set Enable to Yes.
  5. Indicate the Minimum Order Amount, after discounts have been applied to the cart in the Minimum Amount text field. 
  6. Edit Description Message. This is a message that could always display, that will inform the customer there is a minimum order amount. 
  7. Edit Error to Show in Shopping Cart. This is a message that will display, if the cart subtotal does not meet the minimum order amount.
  8. Set Validate Each Address Separately in Multi-Address Checkout depending upon whether or not the minimum order amount needs to be enforced for multi-address orders.
  9. Edit Multi-Address Description Message. This is a message that could always display, that will inform the customer there is a minimum order amount when they check out using multiple addresses.
  10. Edit Multi-Address Error to Show in Shopping Cart. This is a message that will display, if the cart subtotals for multiple addresses does not meet the minimum order amount.
  11. Save your changes.
