Creating Customer Specific Pricing


This article will show you how to set up customer specific pricing by group. This will function like member pricing for your ecommerce store. It is important to note that all customers who wish to receive customers discounts of this tpe MUST be logged into an account  to receive them. Guest customers will not qualify for this type of discount.


Counterpoint Setup

Before the promotion for the customers can be set up, there should a customer category created just for customers who will get this discount.
  1. In Counterpoint browse to Customers > Customers.
  2. Open a customer record who should get the discount.
  3. Click the magnifying glass next to Category down on the bottom left of the screen.
  4. Choose to add a new category. (This can be skipped if you already have a customer category you want to use.)

  5. Give the category a name and then fill in a description for it.

  6. Click save.
  7. Choose the newly created category from the list and click OK.

  8. Save the customer record.
  9. Now do this for any remaining customers that need to have the discount applied to them.
  10. When you have finished assigning customers to categories for your promotion, then run a publish to push the updated information into NRO.

NRO Promo Setup

  1. along the top of your NRO admin panel browse to Promotions > Catalog Price Rules.
  2. Add New Rule.

    TIP:For this example we will say the customers belonging to the MEMBERS category get 15% all everything but on sale items and memberships.

  3. Set your Rule Information tab just like this.

  4. Next, set up your Conditions tab as such.

    TIP: By telling the system that the category is not that of Members, we are setting the system to ignore only the category we have specified for the discount. Special price does not contain "." means that if the special price field contains a value it will be excluded. the period represents the decimal place in a dollar amount and will only be populated if Counterpoint has the item on sale.

  5. Lastly, set up your Actions tab.

Test your new discount. It should look similar to below.
